It’s Almost Time!

We are just hours away from our first market of the 2012 season!

We expect to have 5 vendors this Saturday. Rebecca and Jeff from the little farm kitchen will be selling baking (cookies, muffins, tarts) and produce (salad greens, swiss chard). Shauna and Steve will have bread and cut herbs. Wendy will have an assortment of cupcakes and other baked goodies. The Maberly Garden Centre will be selling plants and herbs from their greenhouses. And Debbie and Gary have a wide variety of items for sale, including handmade jewelry, holistic products, and produce.

Thanks again everyone for supporting the Westport Farmers’ Market, and we hope to see you tomorrow!

An Update …

We are in the process of finalizing plans for a new location that is closer to the downtown section of Westport. We are also planning on a shortened season of 4 Saturdays throughout the summer of 2012. The dates will be June 30, July 21, August 4, and September 1.

If you are interested in being a vendor, please let us know as soon as possible. Information will be finalized by Friday, June 15th but please contact us before that if you would like to be put on the list. There are a very limited number of spaces that will be available and as a result we will need a full season commitment from vendors (4 days for Summer 2012). FYI, We will maintain a ratio of at least one producer for every artisan. The Westport Farmers’ Market is a producer based market and therefore, producers need to be given priority.

Year 4 – 2012 Season

We are getting ready for another year of the Westport Farmers’ Market.  Currently, we are organizing a new venue for the summer – closer to downtown.  Also, we are in the process of finalizing the dates that the market will be open this year.

Many changes are on the horizon to make the Westport Farmers’ Market an even more fun and important feature to the community in Westport, Ontario.

Stay tuned for updates.
